1. Purpose & Mission

Mission Ignition Ltd. supports community service, education, and responsible access to publicly available legal information.

As part of this commitment, Bryan Chamberland voluntarily dedicates limited time to helping individuals locate public legal resources, understand where to access procedural information, and organize factual documentation.

These activities are guided by principles of truth, integrity, stewardship, reconciliation, and respect for the rule of law.

2. Scope of Volunteer Assistance

Volunteer assistance may include:

Locating publicly available legislation, regulations, and court resources.

Identifying general legal information and publicly available procedural guidance.

Organizing factual chronologies and supporting documentation.

Directing individuals toward established legal information services and qualified legal professionals.

Volunteer assistance does not include individualized legal advice, legal opinions, legal representation, litigation strategy, or preparing legal arguments or documents requiring professional authorization.

3. Volunteer Capacity & Referrals

Volunteer availability is ordinarily limited to one to three inquiries per month, subject to capacity and suitability.

Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee acceptance or establish a professional relationship.

When capacity is reached or a matter requires professional legal assistance, individuals are encouraged to contact organizations such as Calgary Legal Guidance, Legal Aid Alberta, or other appropriate service providers.

These references are informational and do not imply a formal affiliation, referral agreement, or endorsement.

4. Professional Status

Bryan Chamberland is an independent student of civil, family, criminal, and governmental law and has completed certification through Bill Eddy's High Conflict Institute.

He is pursuing further professional development, beginning with mediation training and certification, alongside a longer-term interest in formal legal qualifications.

Bryan is not a lawyer and does not hold himself out as authorized to practise law in Alberta.

5. Applicable Legislative Framework & Independent Research

Mission Ignition Ltd.'s volunteer legal information and research activities are intended to operate within applicable federal and Alberta legislation, professional regulations, and established legal boundaries.

Relevant legislation includes:

Legal Profession Act, RSA 2000, c L-8, particularly sections 106–111, concerning restrictions on unauthorized legal practice and related provisions.

Business Corporations Act, RSA 2000, c B-9, particularly section 10, concerning corporate names, identification, and applicable operating-name requirements.

Partnership Act, RSA 2000, c P-3, including applicable trade-name registration requirements.

Divorce Act, RSC 1985, c 3 (2nd Supp), particularly section 16, concerning the best interests of the child in parenting matters.

Family Law Act, SA 2003, c F-4.5, particularly section 18, concerning the best interests of the child.

Independent 4S Framework™

Bryan Chamberland has developed the 4S Framework™: Safety, Security, Stability & Structure, an independent educational and organizational approach informed by the child-focused considerations outlined in section 16 of the federal Divorce Act and section 18 of Alberta's Family Law Act.

The framework is intended to encourage thoughtful reflection, constructive communication, and peaceful resolution, with consideration for applicable family-focused court procedures and the unique circumstances of each family.

The 4S Framework™ is not a legally prescribed test, does not replace statutory best-interests requirements, and is not presented as approved, adopted, or endorsed by any court, regulatory body, or government authority.

7. Confidentiality & Legal Privilege

Mission Ignition Ltd. respects the privacy and confidentiality of information shared through volunteer inquiries. However, communications with Bryan Chamberland or Mission Ignition Ltd. do not establish a lawyer-client relationship and are not ordinarily protected by solicitor-client privilege.

Individuals are encouraged not to submit sensitive, privileged, or confidential documents unless specifically requested and appropriate arrangements for handling that information have been established.

Any personal information received will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and the organization's Privacy Policy.
