Track Notes – Awaken the Nations

Awaken the Nations is a song of surrender, restoration, and return.

Musically, this song comes from an earlier chapter of my life. It was originally written in a different season, under a different name, and from a heart that was chasing meaning in all the wrong places. At that time, my creativity was often driven by distraction, desire, and the pursuit of affirmation through substances, pleasure, and recognition. Though music was present, the center was not Christ.

Years later, this song was brought back into the light.

Rather than discarding it, I felt compelled to lay it fully before God and allow Him to redeem it. What once carried the energy of performance was reformed into prayer. What once reflected ambition was reshaped into obedience. Awaken the Nations became an act of repentance and consecration, returning the gift of music to its rightful purpose.

The lyrics reflect a renewed understanding of God’s vision for His Church, not as an institution, but as the living body of Christ. Drawing from the biblical foundation of the Ekklesia, the song centers on unity, mission, restoration, and the call given in Scripture to go, to love, and to make disciples of all nations. It emphasizes humility, shared responsibility, and dependence on the Spirit rather than human strength or charisma.

This song is not about revival as spectacle, but revival as alignment. It is a declaration that the Church is awakened not by noise or force, but by surrender, holiness, and obedience to Christ. It speaks to a desire for the body of Christ to be unified, healed, and mobilized in love, carrying the life of Jesus into a broken world.

Awaken the Nations is ultimately a testimony of redemption. It represents taking something formed in darkness and offering it back to God for His purposes alone. It stands as a reminder that nothing surrendered to Christ is wasted, and that when He awakens hearts, He also restores what was once misdirected.

This track is offered as worship, repentance, and recommissioning, trusting that God is faithful to redeem not only songs, but lives, callings, and generations.

Lyrics

VERSE 1

You said “Go,” and the earth started shaking,
The Lion roars, and the dead hearts awaken.
We’re not afraid of the dark or the night,
’Cause the battle was won when You stepped into light.

You break our chains, with the truth You’re declaring,
You send us out, every tribe we’re preparing.
From the shadows we rise, with the fire inside,
We were born for this moment, to carry Your life.

PRE-CHORUS

We hear the call, Matthew 28
All nations bow, it’s never too late.
With power You gave us the mission to stand,
To run to the world with Your nail-pierced hands.

CHORUS

You awaken the nations, ignite our hearts again,
You came to bring life (John 10:10) and we’re alive in Your reign.
Make us one, make us holy, ’til Your body is restored,
We rise in Your calling (Ephesians 4),
We stand in Your freedom, forever, Lord!

VERSE 2

We won’t turn back when the broken are falling,
We lift them up, Galatians 6:1 is our calling.
Restore the lost with a spirit of grace,
’Cause mercy runs deeper when we look on Your face.

You’re raising voices, apostles and teachers,
Prophets and shepherds, evangelist-reachers.
A body united, a Kingdom alive,
We fight with the faith that the gates can’t divide.

PRE-CHORUS 2

We hear the call, Matthew 28
All nations bow, it’s never too late.
Your Spirit is moving, a storm breaking through,
And every revival begins, Lord, in You.

BRIDGE

Awaken me, ignite my soul!
Your fire burns and makes me whole!
All authority, we won’t back down!
King Jesus reigns, so let heaven sound!

Awaken me, awaken us!
You’re breaking chains, restoring trust!
Revive the Church, unite Your bride!
We carry Your glory, world-wide!

FINAL CHORUS

You awaken the nations, ignite our hearts again,
You came to bring life (John 10:10) and we breathe You in!
Make us one, make us holy, ’til Your body is restored,
We rise in Your calling (Ephesians 4),
We stand in Your freedom, forever, Lord!

Awaken the nations, awaken Your bride!
We go to the world, with the power of Christ!
(Matthew 28)
Forever we’ll run, forever we’ll roar,
Revival is rising,
We’re Yours, we’re Yours, we’re Yours!
